Over three immersive days we will mix bold perspectives with inspiring keynotes, hands-on innovative workshops, special field trips, micro learning and our Inaugural Eye on Impact Awards Dinner. Expect practical takeaways, tactical experimentation, and connection fueling moments that will leave you energized, equipped, and ready to lead.
Our first day is designed to fuel your curiosity! You’ll have an opportunity to enjoy four hands‑on labs with leading Optician Innovators to test cutting‑edge tools, learn how to use new testing devices, and leave with new knowledge and expertise. Day 1 includes behind‑the‑scenes tours of Europa Eyewear and MEI Systems and culminates in our Welcome Reception to connect with friends and colleagues from around the Country. It’s a day of discovery, experimentation, and the kind of inspiration that turns good ideas into great outcomes.
Day 2 is all about us! Raise your voice during sessions that focus on advocacy strategies, smart technology and AI, consumer understanding about opticianry and leadership skills that elevate both our profession and you individually. We’ve dedicated significant time to the contact lens side of opticianry with engaging panel and breakout sessions. You’ll hear from Industry Partners on progress from UOA’s Sightline Industry Panel.

The Eye on Impact Awards & Keynote

We end our day by celebrating excellence in opticianry with the Optician of the Year award and more industry recognition. Leadership & Simplicity Expert Matt Havens will deliver an electrifying keynote focused on cutting through complexity to lead with clarity. It’s the perfect end to our Day 2 experience, celebrating our peers and preparing for the road ahead
Remember 2024? Turn back the clock and let’s harness the Power of OP for Purpose. We’ll start our day learning about opticianry sub-specialties with focused micro‑learning session that will deliver fast, practical takeaways. Then bring your voice to the UOA Delegate Assembly, where delegates will set priorities and elect the FY27 board. This is the day to commit to purpose, leave with a plan, and help shape the future of our field.
